Vivaldi's Four Seasons (Complete) / Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night Music) - Helios Orchestra - Solo Violin: Glen Rouxel. Serenade No. 13 in G major, "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik," K. 525 – better known in English as "Une petite musique de nuit" (A Little Night Music) – is a serenade for strings composed by Mozart in 1787. Its first movement begins with one of the most famous themes in classical music. It is Mozart's last serenade. Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons is a set of four violin concertos, composed in 1723. It is undoubtedly Vivaldi's most famous composition and the most frequently performed piece of music in the world. It is a violin concerto in which the soloist plays accompanied by a chamber orchestra. The content of each movement is varied and evokes each of the seasons to which it relates. For example, winter is punctuated by pizzicato notes on the upper strings, reminiscent of icy rain, while summer evokes a storm in the final movement, foreshadowed by the thunder that rumbles repeatedly throughout. Dynamic and eclectic, the Helios Orchestra has established itself since its creation in 2014. Its artistic director, Paul Savalle, promotes the professional integration of young musicians through orchestral experience. Thus, recent graduates work alongside experienced orchestral musicians, conductors, and soloists in optimal working conditions. From Baroque to contemporary music, the programs are varied, the repertoire is both symphonic and choral, with the orchestra collaborating with departmental and regional choirs. Thanks to collaborations with different conductors, the musicians explore a very rich repertoire, broadening their interpretive range. They all come from leading French conservatories, some belonging to a national orchestra. From string quartet to symphony orchestra, including brass ensembles, the orchestra continually expands its audience by adapting its instrumentation. The string section performs in Paris's most prestigious churches, allowing audiences to discover a rich architectural heritage. Its flexible structure enables the Helios Orchestra to explore a wide repertoire with passionate curiosity.
