Eagle-Eye Cherry's career took off with the hit "Save Tonight," and he continues to evolve as an artist. His sixth studio album, *Back on Track*, released in 2023, reflects the influences of his teenage idols and marks a confident comeback after periods of self-doubt. Born in Stockholm in 1968 to artist Moki Cherry and jazz musician Don Cherry, Eagle-Eye grew up in the Scanian countryside with his sister, Neneh. The family later moved to New York City, where he attended the School of Performing Arts, played drums in various bands, and explored acting. After his father's death in 1995 and disillusioned with acting, he returned to Sweden to pursue his musical studies. His debut album, *Desireless* (1997), featured the single "Save Tonight," which topped the European charts and reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Cherry released two more albums, *Living in the Present Future* (2000) and *Sub Rosa* (2003), followed by an extensive tour. After years of relentless performing, he took a break in 2012 to find balance in his life. He returned with *Can't Get Enough* and then released *Streets of You* in 2018, which was nominated for a Swedish Grammy. *Back on Track* draws inspiration from the challenges of the pandemic and a renewed appreciation for live performance. Influenced by the energy of bands like The Clash and Talking Heads, Eagle-Eye has created songs that blend his classic sound with new arrangements and lyrical perspectives. As he prepares for an upcoming world tour, he is filled with excitement and gratitude at the prospect of reconnecting with his fans around the world, those who have always supported him and who make each performance a truly special experience.
