In 2022, Fontaines DC's third album, "Skinty Fia," peaked at number one on the UK and US charts. After a sold-out tour, including an extended North American leg alongside Arctic Monkeys, the Irish band took a break to prepare their new album, "Romance," to be released on August 23rd by XL Recordings. The 11 tracks explore love and relationships, identity and alienation, fantasy and reality: in a few years, will love be a subject studied only in history books? "Romance," an album they describe as "provocative," continues the sonic experimentation begun in "Skinty Fia," this time exploring grunge textures, hip-hop beats, shoegaze tones, and electronic sounds.
