Formed in 1980, New Model Army is among the most influential British rock bands of the 1990s. Hailing from Bradford, the group was initially influenced by Northern punk rock and soul, but over the years, they have constantly pushed their boundaries, incorporating new folk and metal influences to create a unique and unclassifiable sound. Throughout their long career, New Model Army, always led by their charismatic frontman Justin Sullivan, have never taken easy or safe choices, becoming one of those bands that shuns fame while pushing their creative limits after each successful album; thus becoming a group that continues to thrive within their singular genre. Following the release of their live album titled Sinfonia in September 2023, New Model Army returns with Unbroken, their 16th studio album, released in January 2024. Described as powerful and emotionally intense, New Model Army continues to push the boundaries of their signature sound while remaining true to their heart.
