Harmonica player - singer and guitarist Nico Wayne Toussaint trades his showman costume for that of storyteller of the history of the blues.<p> In simple language accessible to both young and old, surrounded by period instruments steeped in history and sometimes even unexpected, Nico draws on over thirty years of passion and direct contact with African American culture to retrace the epic story of blues music. He explores slavery and work songs, faith and gospel, the mechanization of agriculture and the great migrations, the arrival of electricity and its impact on music, rock and roll, and the social movements of the 1960s.</p><p> Over the course of about sixty minutes, and enhanced with various live sound illustrations, Nico proposes to open up the public, including the youngest, to the adventure of a musical form that laid some of the deepest foundations of today's music.<br><br> <strong>Please note:<br></strong> Open seating: children in front, adults behind or on the sides.<br> The student rate is also valid for those over 12 years old and high school students.</p>
