In 1815, Edmond Dantès, a young captain, is framed and unjustly imprisoned on the eve of his engagement to the beautiful Mercédès in the dungeons of the Château d'If off the coast of Marseille. After fourteen years of captivity, he manages to escape, and his adventure leads him to the hidden treasure of the island of Monte Cristo. He begins a new life as the Count of Monte Cristo. Having become rich and powerful but having lost the love of his life, Dantès is determined to exact his revenge by making those who sent him to prison pay… “The Legend of Monte Cristo, the Musical” is a musical comedy adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ masterpiece and will be the event of 2026. With Gjon Tears as Dantès and Philippine Lavrey as Mercedes, and more than twenty people on stage, this show, directed by Serge Postigo, will thrill audiences with songs, choreography, and fabulous sets. From January 2026 at the Dôme de Paris and touring throughout France, as well as Switzerland and Belgium.
